"Shadows on the Ceiling" (Music Video)

Directed by:  A.R. Kagan

Music by: David Rosen

Genre:  Music Video

In the second music video off of award-winning composer David Rosen’s second album An Unseen Sky, “Shadows on the Ceiling” tells the story of a little girl whose imagination is set off by shadows in her room. She runs off into a dream world to escape the darkness until she can be sure she can return safely to her bed.

The video comes from an idea by director A.R. Kagan who is also the mother of Alexa Jade Kagan, the star of the video. The music and story go together perfectly to create a beautiful picture of childhood imagination.

Us (short Film)

Directed & Written by:  A.R. Kagan

Cinematographer:  Tony Dare

Genre:  Drama / TV Spec

In the aftermath of World War III, two survivors struggle with their feelings from the past.

Meant to capture the ideas, concepts and storylines within a feature film and/or possible television show, A.R. Kagan took an all out approach as far a set design and costuming. With a budget of around $1000, she scheduled a one day shoot and managed to complete this film in just that day. The crew was limited and the film takes place in one location, a 12 person tent staged in a room on Nevada State College campus.

This film will be re-edited in the future to account for her very basic and first year knowledge of filming, editing and sound design when it was made back in 2014.
